Campaign Reform
All Political Parties (including Individuals not affiliated to a political party) should have equal access to run viably for elected office.
These measures should be implemented to achieve this aim:
Abolish Signature Requirements.
Candidate’s names should be printed on the ballot without having to get Signatures from voters.
Voters are subject to identity theft and thus are reluctant to sign.
Signatures mean nothing when campaigns can buy people to get Signatures for them.
Signature Requirements are used to disenfranchise candidates.
Signature Requirements are unconstitutional for federal offices.
Signature Requirements are inherently unequal.
Signature Requirements are unreliable to contest or verify as signatures vary.
Abolish Fees imposed on Candidates to run for office.
Abolish campaign fund requirements for Candidate to access voter information.
Mandate Equal Debate Participation.
Mandate Equal Media Coverage.
Allocate increased FCC Public Service Announcement time for Candidates’ messages and have the time freely and equally distributed.
Mandate Print Media to freely and equally distribute space for Candidates’ messages.
Allow Candidates and Voters to switch party affiliation at any time.
Allow Candidates greater access to the Ballot.
Allow Candidates to run for more than one office at a time (and relinquish the extra offices if needed).
Allow Voters same-day registration to vote.
Make State or National IDs free, so if voters are required to show them, it does not amount to a Poll Tax.
Mandate only public funding of Campaigns.
